Guar gum powder
A natural thickener made from the endosperm of the guar bean. India grows most of the world’s guar, and almost all of that crop is in Rajasthan and neighbouring states. DAura EXIM exports the powder from Jodhpur.
What buyers are actually purchasing
The seed is split. The endosperm is separated from the husk and the protein-rich germ, then milled. The powder is mostly galactomannan. In cold water it hydrates and raises viscosity. Finer mesh hydrates faster and gives a smoother solution. That is why a 300-mesh food grade and a coarser oilfield grade are not interchangeable, even when both are called guar gum.
Grades we offer
Food grade, 200 mesh
The workhorse grade for sauces, bakery, beverages, and general food thickening. Viscosity is stated as a Brookfield band on the offer, not as a single marketing number.
Food grade, 300 mesh
Finer powder for applications that need faster hydration and a cleaner mouthfeel, including ice cream and some dairy stabiliser systems.
Fast hydration
For plants that disperse the gum under time pressure. Ask for the hydration curve the mill uses; we do not relabel a regular grade as fast hydration.
Industrial and oilfield
Higher-viscosity powder for drilling fluids, fracturing, textile printing, and paper. Microbiological limits follow the industrial specification, not a food standard, unless you ask for food grade.
Packing and shipment
The usual pack is a 25 kg multi-wall bag with an inner liner. Container quantity is confirmed at booking, because bag weight and stuffing method change the payload. The common export basis is FOB an Indian west coast port, usually Mundra. CIF to your discharge port can be quoted when you want freight included. HS heading commonly used for unmodified guar gum is 1302.32.
Questions buyers ask
- Do you manufacture guar gum?
- No. DAura EXIM is an export trading house. We buy guar gum from processors in Rajasthan and sell it overseas. We do not operate a splitting or powdering plant.
- Which grades can you offer?
- Food grade at 200 and 300 mesh, fast-hydration food grade, and industrial or oilfield grades. The exact viscosity band is confirmed against the mill certificate for the lot on offer.
- Where does the seed come from?
- Guar is grown across western India. Rajasthan is the main producing state, and Jodhpur is a long-standing trading and processing centre for the crop.
- What documents come with a shipment?
- Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of analysis, certificate of origin, and the bill of lading. Phytosanitary or other certificates are added when the destination requires them.
- Do you export anything else?
- Not at present. The company will stay on guar gum until supply, quality, and documentation for another product are in place.
